Multi-Mix® Receives ISO 9001 Certification

WEST CALDWELL, NJ (October 8, 1999) - Merrimac Industries, Inc. (Amex: MRM) announces that Factory Mutual Research has awarded the ISO 9001 Certification to its Multi-Mix® Microtechnology Group manufacturing facility. The ISO 9001 Certification verifies that the Multi-Mix® Microtechnology Group of Merrimac Industries complies with the internationally recognized standard for quality systems and the model for quality assurance in design, development, production, installation and servicing.

Multi-Mix Microtechnology® Group has achieved ISO 9001 Certification designating the Multi-Mix® facility fully compliant with world-class production and quality standards. The ISO 9001 Certification established by the International Standards Organization is a quality management system that sets a global standard for manufacturing and quality assurance processes and ensures that a company’s products and services are among the best in the world. This Certification followed a comprehensive assessment by Factory Mutual Research. The audit and internal reviews and evaluations covered every phase of design, fabrication, assembly and quality inspection as well as inventory control, purchasing, contracts, finance, servicing and many other support processes.
