Merrimac to Host Interactive Capabilities Presentations Live Over the Internet
WEST CALDWELL, N.J., February 11, 2002: In response to our customers' requests, Merrimac Industries, Inc. (Amex: MRM) will begin to host live interactive capabilities presentations over the Internet.
Jayson E. Hahn, Vice President, Information Technology and Chief Information Officer commented, "This method of hosting presentations over the Internet opens a door to our customers in virtually all parts of the world to change easily from viewing static pages or slides on the Merrimac website to becoming interactive by asking questions of our design and engineering Team. This trending capability reduces travel costs for all participants by accessing an important tool for maximizing cost and time benefits.
"Previously, hosting a presentation was bringing Team members with us or contacting them to answer questions posed. Now, holding the presentation over the Internet allows our personnel resources to be integral and interactive members of the presentation while being conducted, wherever they may be in the world."
No proprietary software is required for participants; only a web browser and Internet connection are necessary. Those interested can choose from a selection of capabilities presentations to be scheduled quarterly or can request a customized presentation for their specific purposes.
The first quarterly presentation is scheduled for February 20, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. EST (Eastern Standard Time). This presentation topic is the capabilities program of MSQP (Merrimac Space Qualified Products).
MSQP is a program that Merrimac has developed which reduces the complexity of the satellite component procurement process, shortens delivery time while improving product quality and reliability.
