Sales Administrator
Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Assist customers with technical questions via Engineering, Sales Manager, catalog or data sheet.
- Assist with generating all price and delivery information related to customers' request for quotes which includes:
- Reviewing all customers' request for quote and contractual requirements
- Reviewing all source control drawings/specifications
- Establishing pricing utilizing two methods:
- Estimates from engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments
- Product history costs
- Ensuring accuracy of quotation
- Ensuring response time to customers' RFQ meets their requirements
- Maintain and update status of key programs
- Interface with customers and provide technical assistance, quote follow-up, purchase order status, processing customer expedite requests and provide catalog price and delivery information.
- When required by workload and/or resources, sales managers will assist in entering and pre-booking customer purchase order into system, verifying that information is correct and complete.
- Assist program management and sales in maintaining and tracking support documentation for proposal packages and running programs.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status.
- Acts as back-up to Contract Administrator. Fully understands and can function as Sales Correspondent if required.
- Expedite and check status on open orders in conjunction with Production Planning, resolve contract discrepancies generated by contracts review and
resolve accounting issues resulting from contract discrepancies.
- Supply current customer information for Sales/Marketing travel and visits and supply catalog and literature packages per customer requests.
- Complete miscellaneous Sales projects as required by the Director of Sales.
Requirements:
Education: College degree or equivalent inside sales experience in military sales or technical environment.
Experience:
- 3 - 5 years experience in a Sales office environment.
- Good telephone skills; ability to deal with customers.
- Organizational skills necessary to handle large amount of paperwork and follow up on orders when necessary.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office software.
